Kept you waiting, huh? Asia Pop Con is all set to take popular culture by storm in 2024. The highly-anticipated event will take place from 28th to 29th September 2024 at the Pavilion Exhibition Centre Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Marking the beginning of a new tradition that celebrates the limitless imagination of popular culture, fans, creators, and industry professionals will converge for a memorable weekend of fun, creativity, and innovation.
Asia Pop Con 2024 will feature an exciting line-up of special guests, which includes legendary voice actor and screenwriter David Hayter, renowned for his role as Solid Snake/Big Boss in the Metal Gear Solid series. In addition, the event will also feature the multi-talented Stefanie Joosten, best known for her role as a Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. At the event, attendees can look forward to meeting renowned comic artist Alan Quah and sculptor Mufizal Mokhtar, as well as comic artist and toy designer Michael Chuah. Our beloved Malaysian comic artist Earnest Ng will also be joining the festivities, along with famous Malaysian toy photographer Patrick Ong, Shaliza Erna and Tham Ying Keet. Representatives from Malaysia Arttoy Showcase, including Edward Low, Darrel Cheong, Julia Wee and Lim Chun Woei, will also be present to share their expertise and passion in toy designing.
The event will also welcome an array of distinguished guests such as Adam John (actor and APC24 ambassador), Aza (pioneer Gila-Gila cartoonist), Aziz M. Osman (actor, director, screenwriter and director), Niezam (comic artist), Amin Idris (TV host and writer), Mat Over and Sathia (actors from Pi Mai Pi Mai Tangtu).
Furthermore, Asia Pop Con 2024 will also feature exhibitions by famous brands such as Bandai, Banpresto, Ramen Toys, Blokees, Konami and Gempak Starz, offering attendees the chance to explore the latest and greatest in pop culture merchandise.
